Admissions - how to join our family.

Broad Oak is a Local Authority Maintained Community Primary School and as such, all applications for admission are processed by St Helens Council. 

 

Oversubscription Criteria for Community and Voluntary Controlled Primary Schools in St.Helens

If more applications are received than the number of places available the Local Authority will use the following criteria, in order of priority, for deciding how places will be allocated:

1.  looked after children and previously looked after children;
2. children who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of likely admission. This includes
full, half or stepbrothers and sisters, adopted and foster brothers and sisters, or a child of the parent/carer’s partner and, in every case, who is living at the same address and is part of the same family unit;
3. other children.
