Year 4 Activities 20/4/20
Welcome back everyone - great to be back.
I hope you have all enjoyed your Easter break and haven't eaten too much chocolate! I know that we have had plenty of good weather so hopefully you've enjoyed plenty of sunshine and spending time with your families. I know I have enjoyed time in my garden, i've even managed to do a bit of weeding. There have been plenty of family birthdays so i've been keeping in touch by Facetime as much as I can.
So just like we did before the Easter break the Year 4 team will continue to post tasks for you each day on the website for you to complete from home. All of your recommended websites and online learning tasks are there to access like TT Rockstars, Read Theorey and Emile.
Tasks for today ...
Maths - Your Maths activities for this week will focus upon a mix of addition and subtraction. Your Maths activity for today is to work your way through an addition and subtraction teaching PowerPoint and then to have a go at some addition word problems.
English - This week we are going to focus upon spellings. We would like you to use the spelling website each day and practise adding suffixes beginning with vowel letters to words with more than one syllable.
Today, we would like you to have a go at the ‘Segment Puzzle’.
Fancy getting creative - tommorow will be Queen Elizabeth II's 93rd Birthday which is an amazinf achievement. Why not try one of the following:
- design a new crown for her to wear for her annual Birthday celebrations later in the year
- plan out a birthday picnic for her special day
- design a cake for her to celebrate her special day
